Concerning your admonitions over the commercialization of our psyches - alas, this research has been underway for quite some time - decades actually. According to sources familiar with the incubation of US weapons at Los Alamos and Lawrence Livermore, psychotronic devices are being weaponized in clandestine laboratories funded by unwitting populations - in the west and the east. Some believe that these devices are already being used to control populations, while the virtually invisible agencies of government shield their existence with disinformation - the latest evidence of which is the laughably absurd film, "Men Who Stare at Goats" starring George Clooney and Euan McGregor. But there is blowback even in Hollywood, and the latest US television sensation, Flashforward, appears to be bringing the prospect of mind control weaponry into the mainstream by illustrating the potential for danger inherent in the technology.
